i wouldve gotten this one done yesterday but i didnt have time so here it is today.

this time i made a tutorial

NOTE: i use a pen and tablet to do my stuff so if you use a mouse it might be more difficult for you. however i have a good mouse tip cuz at one point i was stuck having to use a mouse too.

go into your mouse options and set the speed of your mouse lower than normal for trying to outline images. i find that i have more control over what im doing with it set like that.

STEP 1: SKETCH!
you want to start on the bg layer. for the sketch i used a grey watercolor tool at 1px and opacity A252

STEP 2: OUTLINE!
simple.

MAKE SURE YOURE ON THE FG LAYER WHEN YOU BEGIN THIS STEP! that is crucial. dont forget to outline the negative spaces as well, and dont forget to outline the white areas (which i forgot to do in this step and wound up having to do it later on ). solid tool at 1px

STEP 3: COLOR!
even easier.

for the fg layer where you have your outline, just fill it in using the fill tool.

as for the bg, this time i just filled it up using the rectangle tool with the base color and repeatedly went back over it with the white rectangle tool set at an opacity of like maybe A230 or something.

STEP 4: SMOOTH!
the hard part.

you want to use the layer unite tool to merge the layers all onto the bg layer first. theres a reason for this.

use the water color tool set at 1px opacity A241 (the default setting for watercolor at 1px) and just go over the edges in a sweeping motion. youre probably going to have to switch back and forth between colors (which you can do by just hovering the cursor over what color you want and right clicking) cuz sometimes its going to be more appropriate to use a certain color as you go over the edges and shape the figure.

those motion lines around tails\' tails were hard as hell to do >.< i suggest not trying it unless you know what youre doing.

STEP 5: TEXT!
for the text make sure your on the fg layer.

i use 10px for the title and 5px for the signature and the rectangle tool for the underline. and finally merge it all to one layer (either is fine) and repeatedly go over the text with the anti alias tool to smooth it out.
